Recreation Services
Throughout the year, The Arc offers a variety of recreational opportunities. Every effort is made to meet the needs of our participants by offering a diverse selection of both community and facility based activities. We strive to make inclusive options available which lead our consumers to independent leisure skills development. Regularly scheduled leisure choices are offered each week throughout the year. Programs are varied and include dinners, dances, swimming, bingo, arts/crafts, special events and much more. Our Fun and Friendship Bowling League meets on Tuesday and Friday evenings. There is a summer camp offered to children beginning in July.
In addition "Arc Tracks" presents travel prospects for those who enjoy excursions to destinations such as New York City, Philadelphia, Lancaster and other destinations for shows, shopping, zoos, sporting events, amusement parks and so many other outings.

Sooooo Excited to announce Our local Elvis Tribute Artist Jimmy Tighe will entertain us again at The Arc (115 Meadow Ave.) 6:00pm
He’s known for trying to inspire through his music and by taking them back to their youth. He sings Elvis' biggest hits like Hound Dog, Heartbreak Hotel, Jailhouse Rock and of course All shook up. So come out and join us for this exciting night!!!!!! A snack and drink will be served.
Fee $6.00 Everyone must pay including Staff, Family, Aides, Etc.

On behalf of the Neurodiversity Inclusion Association at the University of Scranton, they are hosting a Game Night for us all!!!! 6:00pm It will be held at The DeNaples Center, 4th floor ballroom 900 Mulberry St. Scranton, PA 18510 (parking will be available in the parking garage on Monroe Ave, DeNaples Center also has an entrance across from the parking garage) A snack and drinks will be served

Super Bowl Party time at The Arc at 6:00pm!
It is first down and goal! Join us for tons of fun as we round up guys and gals for some football fun! We will be having competitions in football relay races, football toss and more. If you are not in the mood to play in the football games, grab a pom pom and cheer for your team! Wear your favorite sport’s team shirt! Snacks and beverages will be served as well!

The University of Scranton will be hosting the Dance starting at 6:00pm. Dance with your sweetheart in the John Long Center Snacks and drinks will be served!!!

Yoga with Austin at The Arc from 6:00pm.
Stretch, breathe, and relax with our friend Austin! This fun and calming yoga class will help you move your body, feel strong, and find your calm. We will practice easy yoga poses, gentle stretches, and deep breathing together. Snacks and drinks will be served.

The 2025-2026 “Fun & Friendship Bowling League
Season bowling will commence on Tuesday, September 2nd at Idle Hour Lanes North (Route 6, Dickson City) and Friday, September 5th at Idle Hour Lanes South (125 Beech St, South Scranton).

The Arc of NEPA is happy to start a new Bowling League in Luzerne County! The bowling season will commence on Tuesday, September 9th and end on April 21st at Chacko's Family Bowling Center (195 N. Wilkes Barre Blvd, Wilkes Barre).
